and a window about not being authorized...

does that mean I did wrote something wrong? I find this ESPECIALLY ironic as my post was about the fruitlessness of rules that are not clear and explained... :) still - POOF the thread and my answer are gonzo.

No, you're fine. If you did something wrong you'd get a PM.

It just means that the thread was removed from the viewing area to Review and Hold for various reasons.

OK -thanks. I've never seen a whole thread disappear before... I guess usually by the time I get back to one where we weren't playing nice it's fixed up with warning notes, deletions etc and I can figure out what might have been bad and figure out if I helped/harmed the situation.

In this case the irony of my post about vague rules getting swept away with the thread in review was just too richly ironic to stay quiet...

Am I just playing with the wrong friends?

I swear another thread I was participating in just went poof again -- in it's entirety? No PM to me so I assume I was not the offender?

Maybe I could find this in a TOS somewhere -- but so I know I'm not searching wrong... apparently if someone goes out of bounds entire threads just go away?

I am having the same issue with two of my threads. I posted some things last night and when I logged in today everything was gone. Do they lift review and hold? will the thread appear again? is there a way to find out why is put on review and hold? I didnt get pm'ed but something happened to make the thread disappear totally.

Do they lift review and hold?

Review and hold is a restricted area. The only people able to read threads in that area are Moderators and Admins.

will the thread appear again?

It all depends on why the thread is there and how much work is involved in cleaning it up.

is there a way to find out why is put on review and hold?

The person who created the thread is notified when it is moved to Review and Hold. It would be unreasonable and a poor use of time resources to expect the volunteers to go through an entire thread and PM every single participant to inform them the thread has been removed from the public.

Do we lose our post count when a thread is moved to that area? In other words, if we've made posts to a thread that is moved to R&H, then are these posts deleted or does just our number of posts decrease?

You don't lose post count if a thread is moved to Review and Hold.

You only lose post count when a thread you posted in is purged, because then it doesn't exist anymore.
