Where it says "next unread subscriptions' I click on it and nothing happens even though it says there are new unreads.

I've noticed a curious thing with my post count. I reached 911 posts and after a few days absence count went back to 901, posted a few more posts bringing the count to 906, absent a day, post count reverted to 900. strange.

Issue: "There is not such a person in our system" frequently is the message after clicking on various posters' handle to see their profile (including mine).
This has been happening for a couple of days now; not each time I try to access someone's profile, but very frequently.

The strange thing is that my post count is going backwords every single day, i lost 2 post counts every day

Dave, I didn't mean they clear the posts out yearly. I meant that posts over a year old, or maybe threads over a year old, I can't remember now, get dropped. If you had posts every day, a year later those posts would drop off day by day.

The system archives threads daily.
That means that any thread that has not received any new posts within the previous 365 days (regardless of what calendar day) get purged. All posts in such threads are, likewise, purged; hence why your post count is going down.
Tonight, whichever threads you have posted in that have not received any new posts since July 23, 2009 will be purged; and your post count will go down by the number of posts you have made in that thread.
Tomorrow, any threads since July 24, 2009 will go through the same process.
etc., etc., etc.
It's an ongoing, continual process.

Any thread that hasn't been posted in for a year drops. So if you were more active over a year ago and those threads are now "dead" then yes, your post count would go down. If you post about as frequently now as a year ago you would stay the same.
Again, it's only after the thread has been "dead" for a year. So for example, chat threads that get locked at the end of the month would be purged after a year.

I am having this issue this evening, but I "solved" it by going into my subscriptions individually (which works, but it is more time consuming). Does anyone know WHY it does this though?

NextUnreadSub keeps bringing me to this thread, even though I've looked at the last page several times. Not just to this thread, but to the same reply on the same page each time.
[ETA: Update on the situation. It's not to this thread specifically but to the first thread I reached by clicking the link. Today's is a different one, but it won't take me to my next unread sub, even though I replied to the first one it took me to.]

When I have this problem I log out, close the browser window, open a new window, log back in and it works like a charm.

Today every time I've clicked on "posts since last visit" I get a page that says "no records match your search criteria".
Edit ~ it's all fixed today 12/24.

Today, every time I go to the Faith Community Network forum portal, I get a warning message that an attack to my computer has been blocked. Apparently, there is some ad or something on that page that requires a plug in to be installed before using the page. So far, I'm not having this issue with other portals.
