Don't forget that writing a ticket is not 'sqealing' or 'tattling' or 'ratting someone out'. Tickets alert the mods and then we take action!

Mike, those emails aren't automated; they're sent by the actual moderator who opened the ticket. Also, when you click on the link they provide, there's an opportunity for you to write more if you need / want to. The wording of those emails is generic; but the emails theirselves are not automated. A human being actually sends those emails. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ And speaking of tickets . . . I would encourage everyone who does report a TOS, that when they get the email letting them know that action has been taken, to give feedback. There's a "rate" question asking whether the moderator was helpful or not. Please take the little bit of time necessary to give your feedback. Our moderators work very hard; they and the administration really do need to know whether we found them to be helpful on any particular report.

I never got anything like that at all, just who looked at the ticket and it was closed. I do know that appropiate action was taken but since it was closed though there was no way to leave feedback. I was very appreciative of someone looking at it none the less.

Mike, yes, they are closed by the time we get the email . . . but, you (as in the person who initiated the report) can open the ticket back up. The moderators can also re-open the ticket, if necessary. I'm going by memory; lessee . . . you can click on the "subject" which is the "reason" you stated for the report. I believe that the subject will be bolded. That will open the ticket back up. Then, once the ticket is open, you can scroll down to the bottom of that screen - and there will be a text box that you can write comments in and such. Right above the text box is where the "rating question" is - asking if the moderator was helpful. Once you click on the "ok" button at the bottom of the text box, it will be resent as an "opened ticket," so the moderator can then read any comments you left. Right above the rating question (about in the middle of the screen) is the string of notes between the reporter (you) and the moderator. The first note, of course, will be the original report. Any subsequent notes will be the sequence of communication between you and the moderator. Uhm, moderators . . . is this basically correct?

Okie dokie, I will have to remember that the next time that I file a report. I do not file them often these days at all.
