Hi Melissa-Seek, my back has been feeling better, thanks to a better medication from my Dr. I am doing much better, but it still bothers me a little bit though. Tomorrow is Sunday and a community meal at my church. It should be good, that is if I make it there.

If I make it, I hope to have a mix of existing friends and making new ones as well. I made it to Life Group this week and going to it always encourages me too! Just being along believers helps!

Didn't sleep too well last night, but I seem to be functioning ok. I rested a little bit but hope to rest better tonight.

Thats what is happening in my world for the most part. I hope all is well.

I've not had a migraine in over a week. For that, I am most thankful .
Spring has sprung here in Georgia. But, along with Spring comes the allergies. I have been seriously sick with allergies all week.
Glad you are feeling better, Mike! I love when my church has food and fellowship after service. On the first Wednesday of every month we have "fellowship supper"after bible study.

My church has prayer and worship on the first Wednesdays of the month, which is cool too!

Melissa, how is the house hunting going for you????

It's going okay. We're receiving help from a couple of local housing agencies, so hopefully, that will work out. The packing and lifting of heavy boxes goes on, but I have to be careful not to get in too big of a hurry, as evidenced by my fall down the last few steps of my staircase last night.

Things are pretty stressful right now, with my relatives discussing who gets what and all that. Some days, I've had to take my PRN (as needed) dose of Risperdal for anxiety and emotional meltdowns.

Roberta, Mike, Melissa w/o cat and everyone else, How are you all doing tonight?

I'm better physically, just not emotionally. Today, my relatives had to put down their sweet, little cute dog due to serious health issues. Tomorrow, we'll have to do the same with my elderly relative's cat, due to her health and other issues. I'm not in a good mood.

Oh my, I am sorry to hear that Melissa, I know how hard it is to lose a pet!

I am trying not to be worried about stuff, including tomorrow, and other messes that I got myself into. I am praying for God's provision and some big lifestyle and other changes in my life to happen. Sometimes I just do not think God hears me and wonder if He is really there or not.

The usual Sunday night blues, but I will be ok.

I believe I had a controlled panic attack this past Monday... and yet the news was encouraging.

I was named in my late aunt Aurora's will, and I received the inheritance check in the mail that day. The amount was huge! I'm not a millionaire, but it came at just the right time as I have been unemployed for over a year and am on my first extension of UI benefits. It gives me a lot of breathing room as I continue looking for work and pay off my bills.

However, I was taking deep breaths and had chest pains the rest of the day. Red sores broke out all over my neck and chest, and a few are still there today. My skin is itchy too, but I live in L.A. and it has been dry and windy all this week.

I believe if I weren't on my meds, I probably would have had an episode and a trip to the ER because receiving my inheritance check in the mail was such a shakedown emotionally, almost as much a shakedown as when my aunt was taken home to the Lord last March after losing her battle with breast cancer.

I have deposited the check into my savings account, am hooking up with some good Christian financial advisors (Crown Financial Ministries, for starters) and have purchased a new laptop for my home and church webmastering use. I am using it right now as I type this. I will also begin looking for a used car next month because I am dependent on the bus and it has already cost me one potential job.

But back to the beginning... anyone think I really had a panic attack? The sudden breakout on my skin really freaked me out.

Richard,

It could have been panic/anxiety related, or your emotional reactions playing themselves out in your body. Shock can do that.

Just a few days after my father died suddenly, I had bad tooth ache; I went to the dentist and he told me that one of my molars had "died", and asked me if I'd had any kind of shock recently, because shock can set up nervous reactions in the body and do things like that, as the immune system is weakened/put under stress by it.

But the main thing is that you managed to deal with it, and you did well.

What do the sores look like? Spots or blisters maybe? Single ones or slightly larger areas?

If you'd posted at the time, I'd have recommended the homeopathic remedy arnica (tablets), which are good for shock, as well as other things (sprains, bruises).

Great news about God blessing you with the money. He is good!!

Richard - it's very possible that you did have a panic attack or something anxiety related.

I've really resisted posting anything in this thread about my life lately. I do need some prayer. My dd is 17 and pregnant. My husband wants her to place the baby for adoption. She is about 95% sure she wants to keep the baby. I understand where they are both coming from and am trying to be supportive of both of them, yet somehow managing to be supportive of neither one. I've gone into stress overload which has caused some physical and emotional problems.

Yes, I did. It needed to come out. Difficult though, because I found I was allergic to ibuprofen and therefore could not really take any painkillers afterwards. Arnica helped though. (And I did heal very quickly)

Hey Everyone, I am kinda going through a hard time right now with wondering where money is gonna come from because of being out of work with my back. I am waiting to hear back from Short Term Disability. It turns out that they did not receive the paper work from my Dr. (or they didn't fax it.) and I had to resubmit it myself instead. I am just having a general anxiousness as usual.

I'm sorry to hear that things are so stressful for you Mike. I had hope that not having to work would have eased up the stress for you. It sounds like it just added another stress to your life.

I wish I could say that things are better here, but they aren't. We have decided to take Saturday as a family day and go to a nice, local state park. We want to have the day be relaxing and that park has always been one of our favorites. Right now, I don't think I could relax for anything.

The good news is that my husband finally let me talk to him a little bit about the baby. He now knows that it's a baby boy and he is due the first week of August and a few other things.

Keep checking on the disability. It seems it helps if you call them for status updates often. That way you will know if they need something more quickly.

Thank you Roberta, I hope that things go better for you also!

Not working has helped stress in that way, but now its like I have way too much time on my hands and not much money coming in at all. In a way I am stuck.

Hi Patricia, I did call them today and they said that they did not have the paperwork from my Dr. yet. Knowing that they did fill it out and mailed a copy to me, I told them that I would fax one to them instead, which I did.

That's the way to do it Mike. Keep on them and be sure to keep a log of what you do,calls and mailings.

Nice not to have the work stress but I understand about the too much time no money thing.

Hi Patricia, I am not all that good at keeping records, but I called them today and they did receive it. Now it is 5-7 days for approval and then the checks are only mailed out every 2 weeks. I will make it through though.

Hi, Mike, how are you doing today? Sorry to hear about your back and your work situation, but I'm praying that the disability payments come through.

Roberta, how are you and your family doing today?

Everyone else, how are you all doing today?

Has anyone seen Agapetos lately? I do miss her posts.

I'm doing better today. The sun is shining, which improves my mood. The packing is going along okay, despite my back & hip pain. My relative and her siblings had a meeting about who was in charge of what in regards to my elderly relative's estate and other stuff. It got rather loud, so I turned on the radio and listened to Christian music.

Hiya Melissa, I am wearing earplugs right now as to dwarf off any "noise" that may be bothering. Now keep in mind this might all be normal noise, but tends to get to me sometimes.

I saw my mom today which was nice. We celebrated Easter dinner early.

Any resolution yet on your prayer request? Sorry to hear that you back is not doing well.

No word from Agapetos on forums at all.
