It is now 2010, so time to start a new weather thread. So sit down and enjoy the company, and chat about among other things, the weather!

We're having a very frigid start to the year. At least what southerners call frigid, which is highs in the upper 20s and lows in the teens (F).

Wednesday night and Tuesday we have a 20-30% of snow. I doubt we'll get any though.

*Sigh* I SERIOUSLY dread tornado season.

It's a lovely 19 degree overcast day with; NW 15-24mph winds, wind chill of 5 degrees, barometer @ 30.05, and a good 40% chance of snow - to start off the New Year here in Sandusky, Michigan.

I don't like tornado or hurrican season either, AJ.
I woke to cold and rain this morning. The rain cleared up but don't think it made it out of the fourties today. Weather predictions for next week are low 20's and high's reaching 40's. That is cold enough for me! Roberta, seven degrees? Makes my bones ache just thinking about it. Bundle up!!
For those who do not know, I live in southeast Georgia.

We had snow flurries this morning! And a low in the teens. And my neighbor was still outside singing... (long story).

Supposed to stay that way temperature wise. But by the middle of next week, we have chances of snow! You know, it feels like I've said this before but we haven't gotten a decent snowfall yet...

Yeah, I'm not really too hopeful.

It is 12F out tonight; we got a light dusting of snow earlier; I think it stopped. It has been way too cold lately.

Brrrrr, Kath.

Hope you are staying bundled up, Adrenalinejunkie! It is a cold windchill of 19 degree here. Beautiful blue skies, though so hopefully it will seem warmer when I am peering out through my windows. Not too anxious to get out in it!
Thanks for the welcome, ImBrandNew. You welcomed me in last year. I enjoy coming on and reading about the weather where everyone is at. Keeps me from complaining too much when I read how cold others are feeling right now!

Hey there folks!!!

Just returned to Indiana from the frozen tundra of NW Minnesota! SO glad to be home!!!

18 above seems downright balmmy compared to the NEGATIVE 44 degrees that we woke up to Saturday morning in MN! My poor van refused to start for awhile up there!

It's cold here but I'm not complaining!!! The sun is shining!!!

Happy New Year!!!

Blessings,

Garsy

I just can't understand how you folks live like that.

Layers. Lots and lots of layers.

We even had to help with taking 13 seven week old puppies outside for potty time 3 times a day while in Minnesota!! That was all kinds of fun!

I've been spoiled living here in Indiana. I grew up in Minnesota and was living there when the state hit is record low in Minneapolis of -53! That was 15 or so years ago and that was nasty cold! NOTHING moved that day! But after 12 years in Indiana, Minnesota weather is just bone-chilling!

My hubby walked around with 2 pairs of long johns, a pair of jeans, 2 pairs of long socks, 2 t-shirts, a hoodied sweatshirt AND his winter coat and boots most of the time while we were visiting! My parents keep their home nice and cozy, but wood heat is unpredictable at best and parts of their house are chilly regardless, especially near the kennel are were the dogs go in and out.

Blessings,

Garsy
