Shoot...well, I did love that cornfield humor and what's for supper grandpa!

My daddy loves his Heehaw...he still watches the re-runs on cable over in MO.

I need prayer Denizens. Next Sunday, I am testing again for patrol (the physical testing). I know it will be hard - especially being on graveyard shift now, but I have stayed in great shape and should still do well at the agility testing. The problem? I woke up feeling like I'm coming down with something. The cold going around work is awful too - we've had folks miss more than a week of work. Ugh. I really, really, really don't want to get sick. If I do, I'll have to reschedule the testing which I already paid $70 to do and this Sunday is the ONLY time this entire year that the testing company will be coming to my area. If I have to reschedule, I will have to pay more to cover travel costs in addition to trying to get time off work.

Oh Kristin! I remember you were getting sick one other time, too!

Tell me about it! I hardly ever get sick, but when I do, it's always at the worst time...

NOONE isn't a word.

Writing "NOONE but NOONE" doesn't make it a word.

NOONE with a 3rd grade education or higher should ever use "NOONE".

I'd like to share a personal victory.

The x called me this morning to talk about GC being mad at him. Of course, I'm an idiot and responded to him as though he was a concerned dad who wanted to restore the relationship with his daughter (which, of course, he wasn't. he called to have me agree with him that he was right about everything ). Naturally I received an earful of vitriol for my pains.

But! When he told me that "for once" I should put GC's feelings ahead of my own and stop being so selfish, I cracked up! It really made me laugh to hear him. To think I ever believed what he said about me.

I love being in my right mind.

Prayers for the interview, Miss Giggles.

This is the FIFTH CONSECUTIVE day of sunshine here! Even with the snow on the ground it's like heaven to see a different colored sky and see sunshine and shadows, etc.

Over the weekend I heard a flock of geese. I don't know which way they were going but I told myself they were flying North. AND this morning I saw a robin!

I am beyond excited about this. I was this >< close to committing hari kari last week.

YAY!!!!

We are on our second day of sunshine and our fourth day of temps above 40ºF. It might get above 50ºF today. We're supposed to get t-storms tomorrow night and Thursday night.

((((Phosy))))

Yay, Pink! I am loving this weather. It's sunny again today (SIX days of sunshine! We didn't have six even partly sunny days in all of February). I don't know what the temp is to be but, as long as it goes above freezing, I'm happy. The snow in the front yard is still up to my hips but it's going down, little by little.

I was at MIL's house the other day and it was so warm she was shoveling some of the snow in her snow banks back onto the driveway so it would melt. My FIL and I joked that they shovel the snow off the driveway, then back on. lol.

I offered to bring out some boiling water to help melt it down, and then offered to bring out a hair dryer, but she seemed to laugh at those suggestions. Our house, while shaded well, is in direct sunlight....so we don't have a lot of accumulated snow left - at least not in the front yard.

I have done that! Shovel snow onto the driveway so it melts faster. GC and I were just talking about doing that yesterday. And a week ago I thought about taking the ceramic space heater out onto the deck, plugging it in and pointing it at the snow to melt it.

I had very few small patches of snow in my yard yesterday. Today, I'm thinking of doing laundry and hanging it out on the line. My dryer broke about two weeks ago, so it's good to have nicer weather to hang the clothes. Now I just have to take one load a week to the laundrymat to dry. I'm only taking that load to the laundrymat because there are just some things about my life that I refuse to clue the neighbors in on.

My front yard is pretty clear now, but not my back. I'm waiting for the March storm that will fill it all back in.

Lioness, I'm so glad you have your "right mind" and didn't let the x get to you!

I think it's going to be a busy work day today - hope I'm wrong, lol.

It's funny - the day that I found myself posting in M & E, I happen to be wearing black and white.

I guess I'm not a fan of the color gray.
