I just finished reading the posts and saw that link. I thought it was a common thing but maybe not. Waxing isn't too painful. They usually use a numbing cream beforehand. Of course it doesn't completely numb it but it helps. Having someone else do it is much less painful than trying to wax yourself. Make sure they practice good hygiene with their wax and tweezers though. Not sure what the rules and regulations are but you might want to research it a little.

Did the wax once ONCE in my life. . .nevah again. LOL The pain wasn't the issue - it was the swelling afterward that blew me away. I looked like some kind of bizarre puffer fish.

I just started shaving about a month ago.....even though it is a pain, if you do it every day, the bumps and rashes do diminish after a month or so. And I only use a razor about 3 times and then start with a new one.

The ladies change room depicts a wide range of preferences. Some like growing a luxuraint patch, some are neatly trimmed, some are well waxed. Myself prefer to keep it neatly trimmed. Wikipedia has an interesting article on Bikini Waxing.
