I find shorter is more hygienic, I have a 'trim' option on my razor to do it. Other than that I just shave the edges if I'm gonna be in a swimsuit.

I am so excited!

I got an eclectric trimmer for "there" and I love it! Obviously it's not as close of a shave as a razor but I have no razor burn and it's much neater and tidier.

I'm happy.

I bought a bikini trimmer earlier this week and tried it out today. Worked great...except for in the uh um...nooks and crannies. Any suggestions on getting a closer shave faster at those awkward angles?

I'm using the one by noxema btw.

I got one by Venus that I really like and if I put one leg up on the sink, that takes care of some of the crannies. I don't shave per se, but I do trim up very short. I'm not a fan of the velcro effect that happens after shaving.

I've been doing this since I was 13 and I am now 52. It was either trim, braid, shave or buy a guitar and join ZZTop.

And yep...feel tons cleaner and fresher.

Seriously tho... could you maybe link to the type of thing you use? Sounds fairly easy... and I am really afraid to google it not knowing the proper terminology...

I have a Schick Quattro trimmer/razor combination. The trimmer is a battery operated electric trimmer that is pretty close (without the velcro effect), and it is waterproof.

I have the problem of multiple hairs seeming to grow from ONE cell. Anyone else encounter this? Makes for very very painful re-growth.

I don't know if that's what it is...I'll ask my doctor the next time I'm in (september).

It is quite painful.

From my initial research it seems the only treatment is electrolysis..I don't want to look like a yetti or a little girl down there..seems there's no middle ground.

I have never had a brazilian wax but I do get a bikini wax. I have used nair in the past and its worked well but I do like wax the best.

On that note...I'm a virgin but I always think, when I get married, should I deal with "down there" beforehand or should I just leave it?

There's a coupon for 40% off of waxing services at a local salon and I'm tempted to go in for a wax...because I have a girly doctor appointment coming up.

I think for my wedding night I'll get it waxed - not all the way, but partially and then ask m'love what he thinks. I guess I'll cross that bridge when we get there.

you should! waxing down there can usually be expensive so it would be good to see how you like it on a discount! :-)

I am just nervous about the pain. I'll plan on takig some ibuprofen beforehand ad several people have suggested that. It'd be nice to see how much longer it lasts vs shaving.
