quote:
ORIGINAL: dsfuva Right now I feel frustrated, bewildered, and humiliated. A friend of mine supposedly bought me a ticket to a dance this evening as an early birthday present. I called last night and was told the arrangements had been made. I showed up this evening and found out they hadn't. Since I've been unemployed for nine months and since the rent is due Sunday, I couldn't afford to buy my own ticket. So I had to turn around and leave in front of a whole bunch of folks who saw this happen. One more thing: I feel like asking why stuff like this happens to me. I am so sorry this happened to you dsfuva. I pray that you have a happy birthday nonetheless. I will also be praying for the Lords provision in your life as well asking Him to lead you to a great job, one which you will enjoy and also glorify Him through.

I feel like going on a prayer power hike this morning in our brisk 40 degree weather. Before that I'm off to meet some brothers for some prayer, fellowship, and reading of the word at a cool little Mexican cantina I found. Be blessed friends.

Right now, I feel tired but happy after spending some time with my dad watching the game, and letting him bond with my dog, plus making wonton soup and spring rolls for my friends tomorrow. I like feeding people, lol.

... like encouraging whoiskenneth. As long as you have Christ, you are never totally lost. You always have Him. It may seem that all is lost, but He is the one who is in control. I'm learning to let Him take control of situations that I would rather control myself, but He really does seem to do a better job than I can do on my own.

... like also encouraging whoiskenneth. Just take it one day at a time ... ... like celebating with Tashilein - glad that your contract got renewed and that you've gotten the ok to fly again ... ... glad for MainstayNuts chance to display her art ... ... glad that PH had a chance to cook and spend time with her father ... ... glad that I have not one but two interviews scheduled. The first one is with a recruiter - not for an actual job, but might lead to other jobs in their placement company. The second is a follow-up interview for an actual job - one that I would really like to get. Prayerfully the Lord will open the door for me to go there, if it is where he wants me to be ...

... frustrated!! Doing a lot of online work today and 1) I can't figure out how to access books from the online library; and 2) Chrome isn't allowing me to access .pdf documents... I need to go to FireFox instead. I can go to the library to look at the books, but I can't check them out. But I may have to do that... I know exactly which books I need and I'm not finding them online.

It has already been a long, busy week, and I am anxiously looking forward to Sanctuary service tonight. I feel grateful to still be able to corporately worship our risen Savior together, free from the persecution that befalls the Saints in other countries.

... satisfied. I just successfully finished a 7-day detox and have more energy and feel lots better. Tomorrow starts the "regular" eating (it's a nice, healthy, balanced plan) and I'm looking forward to losing a little weight AND becoming healthier.

...like it should be the end of the school year instead of the beginning of the second nine weeks. I've never been this drained or stressed so early in the year. If it weren't for the kids... I know, though, that God's going to teach me something/prepare me/change me through all of this. He's doing something wise and good, and that's encouraging.

(((((Shema))))) Hang in there, gal. God does have all of this under His loving, watchful eye. He knows what you're going through and when to give you some rest.
