Group! What a birthday!! No wonder you don't want to have more than one pity party a year!

Elastic! So sorry your trip was delayed. Yeah! You get to spend the same amount of time in Alabama where you'll be sweating profusely, apparently. So glad the delay gives you an excuse to eat ice cream!

I think men are the ones who designed clothes and shoes. I'm like Mac... I have come to the place where I'm less concerned with form and more concerned with function. If they feel good, wear 'em.

Weapons? One of the guys at church was showing me recently how to brush the jacket back while withdrawing the weapon and firing in one smooth move. I was glad all he had with him at the time were handcuffs. I'm so glad you all are on my side.

Do the businessmen in Bermuda still wear shorts with their suits? I remember seeing that when I was there 20 years ago.

Gee, I don't know. I haven't taken vacation yet. Should I go to Bermuda just to see the police uniform?

That would be nice, but I'm thinking this year is going to have to be a staycation. I did healthcare this year.

I think men in Bermuda must wear Bermuda shorts to work.

UPDATE on my trip to the neurosurgeon.

I just read this. Praise God! And thanks for the update.

On a more sobering note, actor Karl Malden has died. At least he lived to a ripe old age.

Thank you for the news, dsfuva. He was a great actor. 97! And married 70 years! That's wonderful!

Now that you say that, it makes me glad I'm not famous.

I fixed my lamp!

Of course, that wasn't until _after_ I bought a new one, some assembly required, and saw how it worked.

Congratulations!

Sometimes fixing things is just the challenge to empower us to a higher level.

Or infamous, as in the case of one of the departed.

Earlier this evening, I recalled a skit Johnny Carson once performed on the Tonight Show. The skit concerned commercials we'd like to see done just once.

You may remember that Karl Malden worked as a pitchman for American Express for a number of years. Carson performed a takeoff of Malden's commercial and got a pie in the face afterward.

I think I will start signing all my post with the letters INT. Any guess as to what it means?

Refer to one of my other post in answer to the Lioness' question about IT and you will have a clue.
