I wholeheartedly agree with you. And I wonder how many men in that thread are still single.

i haven't really seen it come up that much as people saying it's a dealbreaker altho someone was insisting upon it in that thread ... i don't get it either ... but i think a single woman with tattos would be better able to answer the question if they've been discriminated against ...

Riddle me this: are these single Christian men really quizzing potential dates beforehand about tattoos? Do you think they even have the nerve? (And yes, I'm asking for opinion on that.) I think one of the posts that bothered me so much was the guy who now thinks differently of a long-time friend because her back is tattooed. Man...I hope I don't have any friends like that.

if someone only asks out women they know and it's a deal breaker, i bet they ask somehow before it gets to that point. stella - just stay covered in visibile tattoos and you won't need to worry about any friends changing their opinion of you ;)

My tattoos are placed where I wanted them; they just happen to be where I can keep them covered if I want. I have no qualms whatsoever about putting something in an always visible spot, but like Stella said, not until I find the perfect artwork. I will admit my first two were flashes, but they were something I wanted and I didn't have to draw them out myself. My next will have to be something that either I or my daughter has drawn.

hehehehehehehe a slim chance of finding one [that will remain eternally slim and perfectly manicured.] Sounds like he is looking for June Cleaver. What I think most fella's want (I know that's a broad brush there folks) but are afraid to say is that they want a tiny bit of freak hidden beneath the 1950's apron~ ya know the dutiful wife that brings him his slippers and lights his cigar but does so with a seductive wink. I shouldn't of said that out loud huh??? ~e

No wonder it is getting tough for a Christian woman to find a husband. Between the input of wimpiness that has affected most every man in the U.S. to pornogrpahy, to the beer/sports problem too many men have, is a slim chance of finding one. hmmm...yeah works for me

ORIGINAL: iwillfearnoevil ha! but seriously doink and mia (and anyone else), you don't think there are women out there who wouldn't date a man with a tattoo sleeve covering his arm? I'm sure there are - I don't happen to know any, but they're bound to be out there somewhar.

I've learned to look at the PERSON, not what he/she WEARS. I've been on the other side of that situation, and it doesn't feel good...

It's not so much whether or not they have tattoos, so much as what they are. Of course I'd date a guy with full sleeves, just as much as I'd date a guy who didn't have any tattoos. But, I'd be far less likely to date him if I didn't like what he had tattoo'd on him. Doesn't have anything to do with tattoos, but with personal tastes, interests, ideals, etc. So, basically, I'd date him for who he was, not his personal choices in accessories.
