Well at least there is two of us that caught the reference.
Ahh, but there is another reference. Stephen King used that reference in his scariest book, It. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the post.

I'll let loverly describe what she did to the guest bedroom. Ugh. Girly stuff. I asked her what's gonna happen if Gary decides to stay over... She said, "You did say the couch was comfy ..."

If you have and HD TV and ESPN I will be happy and ignore all the frou-frou.

Oh and plenty of coffee and chocolate too.

Coffee and chocolate are each vital to the Palace of Eternal Palavering.

***...phosy flings the door open wide, runs in at full speed, flings her body in a flying tackle - "DUDE!!!!!" - only to realize that dude isn't here but fortunately lands on the soft sofa....

disappointed, phosy pulls out the glow in the dark stickers and green shag carpeting and gets to work...***

Of course, dude & loverly, I am a bit disappointed that you got your own place on a day that I wasn't able to post much... However, I'm glad I'm finally here. Loverly did a great job decorating, but there are a few spots that need a little touching up...

Well I knew you'd be able to post eventually, and I did say y'all could "decorate" all you want.

***Dude tacks up a sign displaying a new rule; "No tackling the dude"***

Let's see how long that one stays up.

Howdy blue!

Can we watch the Bogart movie instead of the Stephen King one?

Stephen King's book that used that quote was a very long book with only a couple of references. The main characters had made an underground clubhouse and one of them started walking across the entrance (it was strong enough to hold him) and saying, "We don't need no stinkin batches!" (Stephen King uses the pronunciation to spell the words, so they're spelled incorrectly, but it shows the way the character actually says the word. I like that 'cause it makes it easier for me to hear the character talking.)

*Opens the door quietly so as not to awake the sleeping Army couple. Starts the coffee, restocks the dt dew, puts out the variety of breakfast biscuits*

Hope you all have a great day! Good Morning!

I believe I've found another nice lurking stop for my rounds!

By the way, Mr. Dude, when is Mrs. Dude going to make an appearance?

The Dude is here this morning... I woke up at 6:30, but it took me a bit to get moving.
Freaky dream.
Ew.

My oldest is going to a "Day at the Farm" thingy that's put on once a year for autistic children and their families. My dad has asked if we would be willing to go with them to visit my grandmother. I would in fact be driving, so he offered to put gas in my van for me. That was so nice of him.
