They do have itch creams specially formulated for that area. You could look otc at your local supermarket. It's worth a try. shallbe

Memaw, that's a good question. I was asking that same one of myself about 4 months ago when my itchiness started up. I went and bought myself some Monistat Itch Relief Cream. I found it in the feminine product aisle, near the yeast infection creams and stuff like that. When I first put it on it tingles a little bit but it is so worth it. Because about a minute later and no more itchies. It does have a healing factor in it, as when we scratch that tender skin does get little cuts in it. So that's what works for me. I might also recommend one thing that should be obvious to us ladies, cotton crotch panties. Always. We need to be able to breathe there too.

cotton crotch panties. Always. SO important! A couple years ago I apparently became allergic to the laundry detergent that I'd been using all my life. I couldn't figure out WHY I was itching down there. I still wouldn't know it was the detergent but the store was out of it and I had to get something different. The next load of clothes and, miraculously, I didn't itch anymore. All that to say...I hadn't changed anything but apparently my chemistry changed (or they changed the formula) and I was allergic to something I'd never been allergic to before.

The place where I've been going for my mammograms has gone digital. It seems to hurt way more when they have to compress the girls. The radiology tech even saw the metal clip marker when I had to have a core needle biopsy!

They told me they were leaving something in there. So I'm not sure what it means if they don't say anything.

Just heard that Joni Erilkson Tada has breast cancer. Prayers go out for her. Do you find that you stay away from people that trigger your bad emotions when you have PMS ? I'm noticing that I choose to stay away from certain releatives when I have PMS. I guess that's a good thing, huh?

I saw that about Joni and have been praying for her. I'm glad that you posted it. I have tried to avoid conflict when I have PMS. There were a couple of times I should have walked away because I knew that hormones were making me lose perspective. I thought I could handle it anyway and things did not turn out well.

ORIGINAL: pink.. Aunt Flo decided to pay me two visits this month. That's because she skipped my house. I'm having so many hot flashes I can't stand myself! Could it be it's because I didn't have a cycle this month?

Do any of you ladies deal with premenstrual migraines? I've been dealing with horrendous migraines now for thirteen months. Although stress is a main trigger for these headaches, I believe hormones are also. I'm not getting much relief from migraines, they are happening almost on a daily basis.Last month, my period was also out of whack, it lasted 21 days. Never has that ever happened before!

Do any of you ladies deal with premenstrual migraines? Yes. I get plenty of headaches before, during and afterward. The one I tend to get after is generally a migraine. I'm sure they are hormone related. I've had them for years.

I'm sure they are hormone related I get those, but not migraines. If you haven't already, I would look into changing/adding your diet. When I'm eating well and moving I seem to get through my time much better.

I definately think the migraines are partly triggered from hormone levels. I seem to be all out of whack with my menstrual, too. Had one the end of May that lasted 21 days. That's never happened before. Now it is almost mid July, and I'm just kinda waiting...

I've been avoiding reading this thread. Must be my form of denial. I know I've been peri-menopausal for a couple of years. After reading the symptoms I have more than I thought I did... so that's why I can't think straight and lose words. What finally sent me to this thread is this never ending period. Ugh. For the last two years I would go anywhere from 1 month to 6 months between periods. This last stretch was at least 4 months. I don't really track it. The periods themselves have been normal in length and flow. Normal until this last one which is now pushing about 6 weeks long. It stops and starts every day. It hasn't been heavy--one or two pads a day. It just doesn't stay done. I'm not at all uncomfortable...no pain, no cramps. I'm just tired of it. I've been putting off calling the doctor because for the last month I've been dealing with eye surgery (cataracts). Skimming over the thread I see that several of you have had these loooooonnnng periods. Have all of you taken hormones to make it stop or has anyone had it finally stop on its own?
