After I finished Hard Boiled, a Tauren came into the crater looking for someone to do the bunny thing on her so she could get it. So I stuck around and helped her and she happened to have the elegant dress, so I tuxed up and got the blushing bride achievement.

I should have taken a pic of that come to think of it

I wonder, can you get the achievement if you duel and a mage bunnies you? Probably not.

Tuesdays are the worst...

I haven't bothered to do any of the holiday stuff. I usually open presents/save the reindeer at Christmas and always kill Coren Direbrew, but other than that, I avoid the holiday stuff. Oh, yeah, and I like taking on the Headless Horseman! Finally got in on an ICC raid this last week. It was fun but didn't seem all that difficult. Perhaps the guys I was rolling with were just OP, but I suspect Blizz has nerfed raiding to make it more accessible to casual players such as myself that don't have time to farm gear/rep/emblems every day for hours on end. Should be interesting how they change the game in Cataclysm...

now I've read that they are planning an underwater zone. There will be submarines. I wonder if the druids will be able to swim the distance.

I thought the underwater zone was a final boss encounter. A dragon in the depths or something like that. It will be cool to see what they have done. I have also see some Blizz video showing some of the changes to water effects. They look awesome.

Could be, I was skimming the article. My be worth while to go back and read it again but I do know it has an raid involved in it.

The quest line for retaking Gnomeregan is at Steelpost in Northrend. I haven't seen where the quest line to retake the troll's island starts.

m'love showed me a "easter egg" in Dalaran. The Golden monument in the center of the city has a plaque. If you click on it a video plays that shows the end of Arthas.

I kinda miss the underwater zones in Everquest. It was always fun way back in the day doing Phinny when he'd knock your tank into the wall and he'd have to swim back to get aggro again and dps' were getting spanked all over.

First time I accidentally clicked on that plaque in Dalaran, I thought my machine was broken. Dal was so full of people the lag was insane. The screen went black and the voices started, but no video at first. I was completely befuddled at first.

I live!!!

Finally got Crosswalk to reset my password and let me back in on my real user name...yes! Anywhoo...same thing happened to me Neuron, when I first clicked the monument in Dalaran. Kinda cool about the "ending" of the Lich King. Don't wanna give it away in case anyone hasn't seen the vid yet.

About the underwater zone encounters...I thought the whole zone was going to be underwater also, car2ner. I've been wanting them to do that since I first set foot into Blackfathom Deeps fighting naga underwater to get the quest item (alliance side). My first time heading into Sunken Temple, I thought it might be an underwater instance, but no dice. As far as the submarines go...I guess it's a logical step from the mek-chopper to a submarine, but I wonder if they will be engineered mounts or something anyone will be able to purchase from a trainer...for the requisite 100,000g of course. Stinkin' mount costs... Regardless, I'll be pumped to hit the new contact because I've never liked the Naga and enjoy smacking them around! Also, really, really, really looking forward to the upgraded Deadmines instance!

< 2. Trade > I'm in full tier 23 with 400k hp, 15,000+ GS...can anyone help with how to play my class?

It will be interesting to see how this changes a few things around. Of course I'll be leveling my new goblin and getting my priest gear raised.

We haven't done icc yet so I don't have that gear, but to heal our guild 10 man weeklies or 5 man dungeons I don't need it.

My DK and my hunter, horde side, do their share of decimating alliance but I do admit, my Night Elf hunter (level 75) had a blast in AV the other night. Yes, we were fighting at the roadblock near the Dun Baldar cliffs and Stonehearth, but it was so much fun! We lost but it was close.

This weekend did the strangest Warsong Gulch BG. Since the achievement was to return a flag with our orphans present, we took turns faction to faction sacrificing ourselves. Then suddenly the game turned real again as our flag carrier took off across the field...woot. It was a close match even with the humble beginning.

We remember that it is the journe to the final boss that is the fun. Not getting to end game and then being bored. BTW, my dino loving hunter cow is now also a Matron. Now what kind of nanny takes her charge to watch ancient Viking Lords get killed? I ask you.....

Considering one of the big draws of World of Warcraft for me is the social aspect, I am not sure about this new friend ID that battlenet is starting. Will this make WoW more like (as I've seen it described) Facebook with swords and dragons? I'd be very cautious about friending people on battlenet unless I personally know them in real life. Our guild does have a facebook page so folks could find out some real life stuff from me there but even my FB account has most privacy settings for Friends Only.

There was a massive hacking on Runetotem last night.

Today I was running my dailys with my brother in law today. He logged off, walked out the door and left for work....10 minutes later, his account logged on. All of his stuff has been sold, and broke down, now (like during this message now) they are using one of his toons to do some mining. Wierd part it...they are invisible. We were trying to screw with their bot'ing, but we couldn't even target them. Just watched as mining nodes vanished befoer our eyes.

As usual, do you guys use the log in doohickey? It annoys me when friends get hacked. It takes awhile to get even just most of the gear back. At least it's not real stuff they are taking.

This is yet another reason not to buy gold with real money. I wonder if less people paid other people to do the work for them if we'd have less hacking.

yeah, i just bought us the authenticators. they finally, after 12 hours yesterday, and numerous tickets, and numerous emails from the owner of the account (which took time, because the hacker got ahold of his email too, so we had to shut it down) after 12 hours, they finally shut the account off.

How are the hackers getting the WoW accounts? Is it simple key logging via malware? Or is it social engineering by the gold spammers?

they do give hints and advice when you log in, though, if you still have that feature turned on. They usually blame it on the gamer giving information away to con men. Lately I've seen scare tactics to get people to go to a web site. Most people see past the bad grammar, etc, but some fall for it I am sure.
Those that I've known to get hacked, though, haven't gone to any of those sites.

All the more reason to never let anyone know your mother's maiden name (despite my sis-in-law wanting to do family tree apps) or putting too much info on facebook, and on and on and on.

I have also seen some cheat hacks that involve trade windows. This was some time ago, not sure if they have been covered yet, but it involves some kind of quick switch just before the trade completes. So when you tried to sell something, you ended up giving it away.

I had some level 7 in Thunder Bluff ask me for "5 silver" once near the bank. Since he could go down and kill 4 things and get more than 5 silver I asked "when you can simply go kill a few things and get more than that, why are you asking for it?" The person replied "I am saving up". I logged off.

Also, my daughter was PUG'ing once and group member said her bags were full and asked her to hold a specific item. She took it. When she tried to mail it back, she later received in-game mail from the GMs - authentic ones as it looked like the times I have talked to GMs. Apparently the item in question was "stolen" from an account and the person she received it from was one of those responsible. She just got caught up in the mail sequence.

My daughter, the fence.

And I can't tell you how many times I get a whisper from some suspect name and they tell me my account is being audited and I need to go to some weird site that kind of looks like Blizzard. Most of the time I just ignore them. Once, one was persistent. I replied "You better disable me now, because I am at this moment hacking you."

I don't fall for that kind of stuff. I don't trade with random people. I don't buy gold. I don't go to WoW hacking sites. I don't add suspect add-ons. I don't (purposefully) do stupid things... well maybe, but none that threaten my login security.

Still I worry that something may slip in. Especially on our home systems where the kids seem to operate acluisticly (acluistic - having no clue, my term). That is why I only like to login from my laptop, my wife's laptop, or the desktop at my bro-in-law's house.

If people simply stopped buying gold, the majority of this problem would just go away.
