Today is routine w/ a discussion at my request of whether I should take an additional med for gout, it's new and called uloric...to lower uric acid that can inflame gout....my only problem is that it can cause liver problems in about 6% of the patients; might I hold off & use it only if my gout worsens..& moving to Fla. actually should help my knees.
Tomorrow I have a 1st time appt. w/ an endocrinoligist as I have had some bone loss in my right arm & left leg, likely due to meds...& we will explore whether we should give me a yearly I.V. or some kind of med to reverse the bone loss (if anyone has experience w/ this please send me a pm).
Appreciate your prayers as I stay focused on a move soon to Pensacola after closing out some NYC business.

Thank you for those prayers...today started out on a bad note as there was a mix-up at St. Luke's re: my seeing an endocrinologist; & the appt. was moved to March 1st..this after a great mtg. w/ my primary yesterday where she seems to be in agreement w/ the once a year infusion.
Not knowing me that could of meant that I may have also had to delay my move another month while a decision was made & likely a future appt. w/ the infusion center.
I made some calls to people I know both at St. Luke's uptown & Roosevelt Hospital downtown (where I receive most of my care).
While on the phone w/ the primary care who I may use in Pensacola--- a St. Luke's super. called & I called her back after my Fla. call & she talked & transferred me to a downtown Sup. & praise God we were able to make an endocrine appt. for Wed. afternoon downtown.
That means that the specialist can have the extra added advantage of walking a few yards to his left, & he can consult w/ my primary, or a few yards to his left & he can consult w/ my liver specialist (only there every other week) or they could all just gather---- & make a quickened decision.
This worked out to it's maximum best, rescued from a bad start to the day.
I'm looking to open & close this book God willing at the same time w/ this newest development.
Additionally, yesterday my primary went over other areas of my tests, etc. & all is as good as can be expected.
Remember they thought in 1993, that the then atheist may pass away in 6 months.

~~~Mon. I had an endonoscopy by my regular liver specialist...as some may know for outpatient procedures you often need an escort....as they use meds to alleviate pain..help tolerate the scan, etc. My escort was from Manhattan Grace Tabernacle, one of the Brooklyn Tabernacle sister churches where a former staff of mine pastored before moving on to his own church. When we left half way up the block I felt light headed & Tony my escort had to prop me up, & get me over to the church to eat, relax & make contact w/ my dr....when all was well I left..but last night,I felt light headed again, and fell in a local store...after a few seconds I was ok again, & today went to see my primary in the city...she examined me-believes because my liver is scarred that it may not process meds quickly @ times, & so the side-effects, she also ran labs, & scheduled me for a brain scan & an EKG, just to be safe. My best friend who has blood cancer, & liver disease is also hospitalized, & I'm going to try & get out to see him too, asap. Will keep you posted.~~~
PS- Will see the bone specialist next week to see if he might prescribe a med for bone loss.
My recent labs were basically ok-could use more t-cells to boost my immune system

Just to update: the bone specialist has done more tests to see why/if my body doesn't absorb calcium correctly, so there is no decision on meds.
Yesterday I met w/ my liver specialist he wrote a note to the bone specialist that I should not take certain oral meds for bone loss, as that recent endonoscopy showed an enlargement of veins in my liver & the bone loss meds that we were considering could worsen that condition. That could lead in time to veins bursting--that could lead to an early demise (God forbid--please).
My liver specialist also has scheduled me for a stress test, as an outcome of the ekg, so that when I see the cardiologist we'll have more up-to-date records, & he scheduled an mri to look again at the vein situation in my liver.
The good thing vs. just shooting off to Pensacola is that the drs. all talk to each other; there's past tests to compare what may be going on good or bad & whether I visit them uptown or downtown they all have access to my records on their computer screens.
So, my moving to Fla. is again delayed and yes I could & will travel w/ all of my records but it's best right now to deal w/ drs. who know me..than pick up on drs. in Fla. that would have to get to know me.
So now my plans are to speed up these tests, & to get or not get the bone loss meds; & to have an eye kept on the vein situation in my liver.
Please pray for wisdom for my drs., good test results, if it's not going to make a situation worse to get a bone med & for veins in my liver (I am taking Nadolol 100mg. for that) would not worsen & for my liver to function well.
I am going to get anointed w/ oil soon & attend a special healing service, something that I haven't done in a few months.

Father I pray for good results to be found on brooklynsblessed1's blood tests. I pray he is able to receive the treatment he needs soon and that his plans to move to Florida will not be delayed again. I thank you for your protection over him.
