Wow, I just searched for an answer to this question but I didn't find where it has been addressed before. I'm shocked, I know I'm not the only one.... am I? My husband is a non-believer. Yes, I am unequally yoked and wouldn't do it again, wish I hadn't done it, would never recommend it, too late to change it. Anyway, when I pray/worship, if he's around then I do it silently. In my head and in my heart, I think/say the prayer/worship.

Lately I've been thinking... it's okay to pray that way, isn't it? I know that God knows our hearts, but does He hear me when I don't even mouth the words? I know the deceiver can't hear me if I don't say the words, which I count as a GOOD thing, but God is awesome, He can hear me, right?

Read the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1.

From verse 13:
Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard

I believe you will also find other evidence in Psalms that the Lord hears your unspoken prayers.

Of course it is OK!

Not only does God know what you are praying, He knew what you were going to pray long before you were born.

And it doesn't matter at all if Satan can hear your prayers. He is a conquered foe.

God lives within you...His spirit is connected to yours. There isn't a thought that goes through your mind that He isn't aware of. Well if you belong to Christ anyway!

I think this is a fact that we forget is a reality.

Gives us a pretty good reason to maintain pure thoughts doesn't it?

If God knows how many hairs are on your head he will listen to a silent prayer.
When it comes to an unbeliever remember what Jesus said

Matthew 7:6
“Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

There are times that are precious to the Lord that someone who doesn't know Him will just trample it under foot like its worth nothing.

Also remember:

1 Cor. 7:12 Now, I will speak to the rest of you, though I do not have a direct command from the Lord. If a Christian man* has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to continue living with him, he must not leave her. 13 And if a Christian woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to continue living with her, she must not leave him. 14 For the Christian wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the Christian husband* brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy. 15 (But if the husband or wife who isn’t a believer insists on leaving, let them go. In such cases the Christian husband or wife* is no longer bound to the other, for God has called you* to live in peace.) 16 Don’t you wives realize that your husbands might be saved because of you? And don’t you husbands realize that your wives might be saved because of you?

Pray for him and be the wife God has called you to be. Let God take care of the rest.

He knows your thoughts. He hears you.

I know the deceiver can't hear me if I don't say the words, which I count as a GOOD thing,

I think you should utter words of praise! The deceiver needs to hear you speaking words of truth. Just say aloud "praise You, Jesus" once in awhile.

but God is awesome, He can hear me, right?
