I would like us to work together on this. According to scripture, which End Time signs and prophecies must be fulfilled? Post the scripture as well. I will edit this post with a list. I think it will be interesting to know what still need to be fullfilled and what has already been fulfilled and what is being fulfilled as we "speak". I will check and add my own, but now, I am off until tomorrow.

Shalom, SwordLady. I'm a bit of a maverick (I've been getting on the bandwagon) when it comes to the signs of the end times, but I personally believe that the biggest sign is found in the prediction of Matthew 23:37-39: Matt 23:37-39 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. KJV That's my take. Retrobyter

KJV That's my take. Retrobyter I think your right and I love that particular scripture verse. You know, in the original 1611 KJV, the translators put a cross reference in the margins linking this verse in Matthew's gospel to a book in the "apocrypha" section called 2 Esdras. Here's a few of the verses in 2 Esdras: [28] "Thus says the Lord Almighty: Have I not entreated you as a father entreats his sons or a mother her daughters or a nurse her children, [29] that you should be my people and I should be your God, and that you should be my sons and I should be your father? [30] I gathered you as a hen gathers her brood under her wings. But now, what shall I do to you? I will cast you out from my presence. [31] When you offer oblations to me, I will turn my face from you; for I have rejected your feast days, and new moons, and circumcisions of the flesh. [32] I sent to you my servants the prophets, but you have taken and slain them and torn their bodies in pieces; their blood I will require of you, says the Lord. [33] "Thus says the Lord Almighty: Your house is desolate; Was Jesus quoting his father here? Anyway, considering the books of Esdras are considered some of the gems of Jewish apocalyptic literature, does this somehow shed some more insight as to what Jesus meant in Matthew's gospel as it relates to signs and prophecies?

Shalom, Irish2! Yes! At least, it does for me. Thank you for the revelation, and yes, I do believe that Yeshua` was speaking what He heard from His Father. That was His testimony: John 8:25-29 25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. 27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. 28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. ORIGINAL: SwordLady According to scripture, which End Time signs and prophecies must be fulfilled? Oh gee, references? I'm trying to do this off the top of my head. How about: 1. Formation of the fourth beast in Dan 7 and Rev 13:2. 2. Start of the one 'seven' with the "Roadmap" -Dan 9:27. 3. The building of the Temple -Rev 11 4. First half oppression of the Saints, Dan 7 again and Rev 13. 5. The midpoint Abomination Dan 9:27; Mt 24:15 and Rev 13:14-16 (?). 6. The arrival of the Two Witnesses -Rev 11 and various OT and Gospel references. 7. The Great Tribulation - Mt 24:20-22 (?) 8. Three angels, the first fulfills the Great Commission -Mt 24:13 or 14 and Rev 14:5 or 6 (?) 9. The Day of the Lord Mt 24:29-31; 1Th 4:16-17; the Harvest of Rev 14. There're events I'm omitting for the sake of brevity, but this should cover the major ones.

ORIGINAL: .nile. The prefects of the NIV on a certain website have not allowed me to quote the scripture for 'copyright' reasons. Therefore, I was not allowed to present a more comprehensive presentation on the matter. Please forgive me. Don't quote the scripture...just give the references...they're not copyrighted! I'm capable of looking them up!
