I would make sure all the markings on my yardstick are in inches and not metric.

Interesting ... why inches and not metric? Why not both?
Personally, I would stop people squeezing the toothpaste tube from the middle.
It may not bring peace throughout the world. It may not save the planet, or help the environment, or stop global warming.
But it will lower my blood pressure !!!

I would put America on a diet.
Rap and country music would be outlawed.
Instead of wearing suits and dresses to events, everyone would be required to dress as a pirate.

I like Waylon Jennings, Tom T Hall, Bobby Bare, to name but 3.
Country music is great and if I were ruler of the world I would stop all taxes on Country music. And double taxes on opera music.
I agree with dressing as a pirate. Splendid idea my dear fellow !!!

No one would have to pay more for snacks at the movies than the actual ticket.
Everything would come in even numbers.
Email spammers would be punished severely.

What sort of malcontent are you anyway? 
Just an fyi - Hank Williams Sr. knows about the human condition regarding male/female relationships and tells us about it. Willie Nelson does a pretty good job too.
