With the changes that have been made with the pregnancy threads, we wanted to make sure that prayer requests didn't get lost in discussions.

Please do not respond to requests in this thread. Please take responces to the pregnancy thread or a PFY thread for that person.

Thank you.

there is a regular (not PP or preg) prayer and praise thread in the women's thread...LINK HERE

I have a praise......it's amazing how much my body is feeling soooo much better now that I am not pregnant anymore. I actually have energy!!!!! I have also noticed that my Bell's Palsy is not as affected (visually, in my face) as it was when I was pregnant. It also isn't causing me as many headaches as it was before (I have a feeling that is pregnancy related). Anyway...YAY!!!! I am sooo glad!!!!! The last few months have been very very VERY difficult on me physically and I am glad it is over with now.

Sarah, I'm so glad you're doing much better!

I have a prayer request - please pray about my confidence as a mom, for help and peace regarding being so far from family while raising our son, and for dh to want to be the spiritual example our little one needs. Thanks.

I have both a praise and a prayer request. Praise that I am feeling so good with this pregnancy. I mean, I have energy and other than some minor sleep aches in the morning, I really don't have much to complain about! I feel so good!

My prayer request is that I have so many fears running rampant in my brain everyday and I know it's not the Lord, because of the word from 2 Tim, I think. I just need prayer to trust Him and hand over my fears to Him.

Is it OK to post in here a prayer request that's for a friend?

Please pray for a friend of mine who is pregnant and has a large fibroid. The growth is so big that it partially obstructs the cervix and has hindered the baby from turning head down. Because of this, the doctors have scheduled a c-section for Thursday the 19th of March. Please pray that all goes well for mother and baby. It's her first child.

My husband and i are fairly newly weds (about 6 months) and i am starting to suspect i may be pregnant (failed contraception and the worst time of the month). Neither of us want children (ever) and we are still trying to settle into just being married and living together. I am terrified and need prayer that no matter what happens God will help us get through it well.

Please pray for a poster here named JoyfulLady...she was recently diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes...and it is severe enough that she is dumping sugars into her urine. Please pray for her as they get this under control and for the baby.

Thanks!

I need prayer. I'm trying really hard to remain positive and faithful in God's provision of mercy and grace as I heal, but it's hard to not feel discouraged.

Seriously, after this post partum, God is going to have to make a pregnancy happen in the future because I don't think I'll ever willingly go through all this again. Well, I say willingly in the context that I won't try to make it happen.

I had a hard pre-term time. A hard labor. the doctor told me that I didn't tear much, but he never told me degrees or anything. It hurts. My hemorrhoids are horrendous. Just unbelievable. My husband had to check me out last night because I thought I loosened/stretched my stiches after having a bowel movement. All i could do was cry and yell out in pain. It was horrible. He hasn't been mean or anything, but you should have seen the look on his face when he finally saw what I'm going through. Then there's nursing. I got lazy with the latch and now I'm bleeding on my left side. Not bad, but to say it has hurt is an understatement. Oh and the engorgement. Holy Cow. I swear my breasts were a double E last night. I rolled over and told Jason I needed pity and when he saw just how much they had grown he was shocked. He helped me wake Joshua up enough to empty me enough where I could function and not cry in pain.

Mind you, the engorgement is MUCH better today so that's a praise report. I don't feel like I have shooting needles in my nipples right now either so that's another praise.

Please pray that I feel God's mercy, love, and grace through this period. I honestly have been pretty... i dunno, well rounded, but today I feel depression and a hopeless feeling trying to settle in. I'm fighting it, but would love some prayer.

btw, Joshua is beautiful and a great baby. I know he's worth it.

Please pray for my family and I. I am leaving my babies and husband tomorrow (temporarily) to go to my dad's funeral and to help out my mom.

My dad passed away yesterday morning...I had said on FB that it was 7:30 MTN time...but it was really 6:30 am MTN time....got my time differences messed up!

My oldest daughter is having a hard time with this...as she is in college away from all of us. Just pray for her to fully lean into God's arms.....she is trying, but it is very hard on her emotionally. Unfortunately part of growing up.

Thank you.

I have a praise report!!

My husband and I have lived in apartments for most of our marriage...but now, with a second baby on the way, we really needed a house to live in instead of an apartment...we weren't sure how we would be able to afford it, or where we could find a house to rent that was within our budget and such...I am a stay at home mom, so we have to live on a small budget...anyway, I prayed about it and I felt like God let me know that He was going to provide us another place to live...so, not long ago we found out that my uncle has bought himself another house....to make a longer story shorter, we are getting to rent his house that he lives in now!! Yay! and it is within our budget!!!
also, we didn't have a washer and dryer either and my uncle would be taking his w/d with him when he moved, so we wouldn't have one in the house, but...God supplied us a FREE washer and dryer!!! My mom and dad are getting a new one and are giving us their old one....I am just so thankful and amazed at how God supplies our needs according to His riches in glory!! I praise His name for making a way, even when we can't see any way...He will supply ALL our need if we trust in Him and live for HIM..I praise His name!

Our first official OB appointment is July 15th. I would appreciate prayers that everything is fine with the baby. It took us 3 years to conceive this little one, so we're still in disbelief even though I will be 7 weeks on Friday.

Hi all,

So, I just took a pregnancy test that seems to be positive. While my husband and I really want children and technically we have been trying to have them, I'm scared. First of all, we don't have very good insurance so I am not sure how things are going to work out that way. And, well, this is my first baby and having a whatever pound human come out of me, freaks me out. I know that God has got this under control since he has allowed us to get pregnant, but it's still a little scary. So, any and all prayers and any resource advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is the pregnancy thread called just that? I looked in the Maternity Ward, but it all seemed to be specific things.

I found out I was pregnant almost 2 weeks ago. Two days after I found out, I overexerted myself by moving furniture and noticed some spotting that night. The spotting got heavier and finally stopped last night. The doc's office has been monitoring my hcg levels and I've been going in for blood draws for the past week. Although my numbers are rising, they are rising very slowly...they should double every 2-3 days. Last Monday is waas 553, Wednesday was 705, Friday was 867, and I'll find out tomorrow what my numbers were for today. Please pray that my numbers will skyrocket and all will be okay. They won't do an ultrasound until my levels hit around 4,000 so we can't see what's going on until then (except via blood tests). I should be at about 6-1/2 right now. Thanks for your prayers.

Thank you. Update: My results came back today and my hcg is only at 1189 (should be 4,000-5,000 in a normal pregnancy). It took a whole week for the original number to double (instead of just 2 days). They said today that they are more concerned about an ectopic pregnancy so I am going somewhere else tomorrow (not the doc office) to have blood drawn and to have a transvaginal ultrasound to see if there is a mass outside the uterus. I pray there's not and it's just taking my numbers a while to get there. The nurse practitioner said that she has seen this type of situation go both ways. I am still praying for a healty pregnancy and healthy baby. And I'm still praying that my numbers will spike tomorrow...that'd be a good sign.

Hi all!

I'd love a little prayer if you have the time. I'm a mom to two kids (2 and 7 months). They're great. Life is relatively good, but I'm struggling. On Monday when I went to the doctor he suggested medication for postpartum depression. Sigh... I knew we were going there, but I didn't want to admit it. The babyblues have lasted far longer than they should. However, I'm not sure that I want to take the medication. It means no more breast feeding my son, and I just don't know how I feel about taking medication full time.
