Hi! So I've been uploading properly sized avatars for 5 years now. I know the drill. The avatar that I am trying to upload is in .jpg format, RGB color, 114x29 pixels, 72 dpi, and yet when I attempt to upload I continually get the error that the file is too large. Any ideas on what possesses the code to deny my humble upload? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Try it in a different portal, or using a different browser. I've heard both things can sometimes cause success.

That keeps happening to me too. Then, when I try again a few days later, it loads perfectly.

I usually use Firefox, but when I have trouble I use IE and it works just fine. Thankfully that doesn't happen very often.

I run into the false "File too large" message sometimes. I can get it to work by logging off, exiting IE, starting IE back up, logging on, and uploading again.

Please also note that I have my IE setting to delete browsing history and temporary files whenever I exit IE. Temporary files can often be the source of such problems.

Oh! Maybe next time I can just clear my FF history if I have trouble rather than going to IE.

Sometimes its cos the new file you have created still has a link to the old edited version. When you edit and save the file close the graphics program and see if that works.

Yay! Switching to Safari made it work. Thanks!

Apparently this code doesn't like Firefox on Mac.
